Another poem that I do not know the author of.
Paintbrush
I keep my paintbrush with me,
wherever I may go.
In case I need to cover up,
so the real me doesn't show.
I'm so afraid to show me to you,
afraid of what you'll do.
That you might laugh or say mean things,
I'm afraid I might lose you.
I'd like to remove all my paint coats,
to show you the real, true me.
But, I want you to try and understand,
I need you to accept what you see.
Now my coats are all stripped off,
I feel naked, bare, and cold.
And if you still you still love me with all that you see,
your my friend pure as gold.
I need to keep my paintbrush with me,
And hold it in my hand.
I want to keep it handy,
in case somebody doesn't understand.
So please protect me my dear friend,
and thanks for loving me true.
But, I need to keep my paintbrush with me,\
until I love me too.
In 6th grade I felt like I could relate to this poem. At times i still fell like I do.
About Me

- Jessica_Galkoski
- I am 17 years old and attend San Pasqual Academy. I am a junior in high school. I live on a campus with 130 other students. At times the drama does become intense but we all know that soon it will be over. The people that I hold close and dear to my heart that I know will never betray me I consider apart of my family. Other than that everyone else is just another obstacle in my life that I have to go over. My best friends that I never want to loose are always there for me and understand my hardships and I understand theirs. My favorite sports that I play are volleyball and softball. Currently I am on a volleyball team. GO DRAGONS! I plan on going to college and starting my life with a positive beginning.
