About Me

My photo
I am 17 years old and attend San Pasqual Academy. I am a junior in high school. I live on a campus with 130 other students. At times the drama does become intense but we all know that soon it will be over. The people that I hold close and dear to my heart that I know will never betray me I consider apart of my family. Other than that everyone else is just another obstacle in my life that I have to go over. My best friends that I never want to loose are always there for me and understand my hardships and I understand theirs. My favorite sports that I play are volleyball and softball. Currently I am on a volleyball team. GO DRAGONS! I plan on going to college and starting my life with a positive beginning.

Old Town - African Museum

Today, I went on a field trip with the Social Justice class at my school to Old Town. At first we went out to eat at a restaurant, I cannot remember the name, then we went to Old Town. Our purpose of going was to go on a tour of a museum that talked about the stuff that is not taught in our textbooks. We were pretty early, our tour didn't start until 10:30. So, to kill time we walked around and went into many other museums that required no admission to get in. Eventually it was time for our tour. They split up the 10 people from SPA because there also was a group of 4th graders coming through. The museum we went through was called the African Museum Casa del Rey Moro. The things I learned in there are amazing and incredibly unthinkable that they are not taught in school. I enjoyed learning all of it, but at the same time it was a great disappointment. I was disappointed at the fact that our society sees the white man to be almighty ans superior that they have to change history so that the false perception in believable. All in all, it is awesome and a wonderful learning experience. I enjoyed it! Well, except for the part were one of the artifacts was knocked over by Kristian and it landed on my foot.
