About Me

- Jessica_Galkoski
- I am 17 years old and attend San Pasqual Academy. I am a junior in high school. I live on a campus with 130 other students. At times the drama does become intense but we all know that soon it will be over. The people that I hold close and dear to my heart that I know will never betray me I consider apart of my family. Other than that everyone else is just another obstacle in my life that I have to go over. My best friends that I never want to loose are always there for me and understand my hardships and I understand theirs. My favorite sports that I play are volleyball and softball. Currently I am on a volleyball team. GO DRAGONS! I plan on going to college and starting my life with a positive beginning.

Pasadena
With the Key Club, we took a trip to Pasadena to help decorate floats for the Rosa Parade coming up. It was such a long bus ride there, but we all made it safe. Many other schools were there, not just mine. One of the disappointments was ho rude many of the other Key clubbers were. My school was there having a good time, but then there were many others who were really cranky. Another disappointment was how long you had to wait in order to work on the actual float. If you were lucky, you were put to work on the float quickly. Unfortunately, I was not as lucky as many other people. Within two hours left before our shift ended, I was put upon a float. It was very exciting and something I would do again. in order to work on the float, you had to climb up these large scaffolds. The scary parts were, well just the fact of being that high off the ground and also that not all the beams to the scaffolds were connected. Some were on top of another being tied down. Then when you were on one, so were many other people either working with you or doing a different job. So just imagine the horror seen in many faces with the hopes of not being the one who falls. The weaker beams would shake and all you could do was take a deep breath and hold on tight. Like I said, I would love to do this again!
