12/22/09 Comfort Foods

Since I didn't really know what comfort foods were, I had to ask my houseparent. Now that I think about it, I think my comfort food would have to be chips. Not necessarily any type of chip, but just them in general. This is because when I was younger living at my first foster home, I would eat chips whenever I was upset. My foster mom would try to hide them from me in a closet near my room, but I always found them. When she would be watching t.v. in the living room, I would tip-toe to the closet and carefully open it (it still would squeak). Then, I would grab a couple of bags and run back to my room and jump on my bed. Laying on my side facing the window, not the door I would start to shove chips down my throat in a hurry not to get caught. For some reason the adrenaline rush would sooth my nerves.
