- I am 17 years old and attend San Pasqual Academy. I am a junior in high school. I live on a campus with 130 other students. At times the drama does become intense but we all know that soon it will be over. The people that I hold close and dear to my heart that I know will never betray me I consider apart of my family. Other than that everyone else is just another obstacle in my life that I have to go over. My best friends that I never want to loose are always there for me and understand my hardships and I understand theirs. My favorite sports that I play are volleyball and softball. Currently I am on a volleyball team. GO DRAGONS! I plan on going to college and starting my life with a positive beginning.

Legacy Corps
For three weeks on every Saturday I have been attending a training to get ready to be a respite member in Legacy Corps. Legacy Corps is a Program that involves volunteers to become mentees and mentors. What we do is attend the three trainings then are partnered up with a mentor. Next we select a house that has a caregiver and an elderly adult who is diagnosed with illnesses such as Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, etc. We go to the house as a respite worker and relieve the caregiver and watch the client. At the end of each month we are payed 200 dollars. Today we just graduated and I am thrilled. Soon we get to start going to our houses but we do not have an assigned house yet. Mike Chambers is mine and Belinda's mentor. We did not choose eachother but it was who we were put with. I am excited and nervous and I want to begin working NOW!
