Thanksgiving Interview

For my homework assignment I decided to do the one where we interveiw other people about Thanksgiving.
The Questions Asked
1.) What is you most memorable Thanksgiving?
2.) What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?
3.) How do you usuallly celebrate Thanksgiving?
4.) What is your understanding of Thanksgiving?
5.) What do you eat for Thanksgiving?

I asked ten people these questions. Some of the people I interviewed came up with the same answers for a couple of questions, and some of them had different answers. For question one most people thought back to a time that meant the most to them or thought back to a time that made them happy. Question two alot of people answered saying that their favorite part of Thanksgiving was eating or spending time with family and friends. Many people have different ways of spending their Thanksgiving, but all of them had something in common with their answers and it was that they usually spent their Thanksgiving with their family and friends. For question four there are many answers that could of been given. When I asked the question many became confused, I clarifyed it by asking them in a different way which was what does Thanksgiving mean to you? Some of the people thought back to the pilgrims and the native americans. Then others thought of how it was a time to be with the people you love and care about and give thanks. For thanksgiving there is always a variety of food that is consumed. I asked what did people eat. The most common responses were turkey, ham, cranberries, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, pie, rolls, green beans, and yams etc. I learned that no matter where you are that many people have different traditions and celebrate them in different ways but we all do have something in common which is that is originated from somewhere and we kept it and turned it in to our own.
